Oh my lord! It has been a hot minute since I posted.
Life has been crazy! After months and months of the job search for my dream job, I finally found it. I recently began working as the Development Officer for Joyner Library at East Carolina University. This is such an amazing position that means more than the average job because I am an alum. I graduated from ECU in 2011 with a degree in History and a minor in Library Science and Archives. Needless to say, it is a match made in happen.
Now more than ever, I am a firm believer in “what is meant to be, will be.” I feel like the last few months have been filled with so many trials and tribulations and I can finally breath. With that being said, it doesn’t mean there aren’t still things going on in my life that cause stress and pain, but I am choosing to see the beauty in my life. Like watching my two best friends getting married, one in October and one in November. Or buying Annabel Lee a plaid collar to wear to Friendsgiving 2015. Or making poor Rockmonster wear a sweater (he loved it).
All too often, we forget what we have and don’t just realize that’s enough. I am thankful for my friends who check on me throughout the week to just make sure I am okay. I am thankful for two healthy fur babies who look at me with love that can not be compared. I am thankful for a family who supports me and I am thankful for knowing love.
We owe it to ourselves to remember how lucky we are. Just wake up, look in the mirror through crazy hair and most likely left over mascara, and just say “Thank you.”
P.S. My bridesmaid dress is Calvin Klein and my shoes are Steve Madden. Had to brag about the best chosen bridesmaid dress ever! Thanks Brooke. And if you are super jealous of my plaid pants, which you should be, I bought them from Delta Boutique.
